Referring
Pathways supports people who live with mental ill-health, learning difficulties, brain injury, or dementia, and there is a simple referral process.
Referrals mostly come from Social Services or other professional bodies, particularly Occupational Therapists with whom the charity works very closely.
There is a form available from the farm office (contact details below) and, after receiving an initial enquiry, people are invited in for a visit to see what the work entails and how it is done.
Being based on a farm makes it difficult to be completely accessible, but many improvements have been made to paths and much of the site, as well as the workshops and café, is wheelchair-friendly and accessible.

“I have tried to work in a lot of places and the JobCentre has made me go to lots of interviews but because of my deafness and my anxiety, I have not been able to stay in work for long. Here is totally different. They all seem to like me, and I like them. They are patient and explain thing really simply and I have learnt a lot. Now the course is over I have started volunteering, doing gardening and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
